On the evening of July 16th, the volunteers from Station 7 were alerted for a commercial structure fire in the Greater Butler Mart plaza on Route 8 in our first due area. Engine 7 arrived on scene to find heavy smoke showing from the A Unique Spa building and requested a second alarm. Rescue 7 arrived shortly behind the Engine and established a water supply. Crews from Station 7 made a quick knock down of the fire, minimizing the fire damage to one room in the rear of the structure. Assistance was received from Butler City (Station 1), Meridian (Station 3), Lyndora (Station 4), Greenwood Village (Station 5), Mercer Road (Station 6), Penn Township (Station 11) and Butler Ambulance Service (Station 99).
